Guidelines for Refereed Papers (for inclusion in proceedings published on the CRIC website and eligibility for the refereed journal publication)
To be considered eligible for the refereed publication all abstracts and papers must
- be original work and be unpublished in any journal or conference publication
- be prepared according to the accompanying instructions
- address one or more of the key conference themes
The refereed papers will be double-blind peer reviewed by a Referee Panel to comply with DEST refereed conference paper standards.
Full paper must be submitted to Dr Patrice Braun by May 27, 2005
Submission Instructions
Guidelines for Refereed Publication (Abstract and Paper)
Papers length: no less than 3000 words and no more than 5000 words
COVER SHEET Paper title (Times New Roman, 14pt, bold, centred - place two lines after the paper title) Author name, department and institution (Times New Roman 12 pt, centred with principal author listed first) Contact details for principal author (postal address, telephone & fax number, email address) Author biography(s) 75 words maximum.
ABSTRACT (starting on a separate sheet): Paper title: 14pt, bold, centred, sentence case An abstract no more than 200 words
MAIN BODY TEXT (starting on a separate sheet): Top and bottom margins: 2 cm. Left and right margins: 3 cm Spacing: All text single-spaced, justified Font & size: Times New Roman, 12pt, single-spaced, justified Place one line space between paragraphs. Do not indent the first line of each paragraph Long quotes (30 words or more): 10pt, indented 1 cm left and right
1st level of subheading: 12pt, bold, sentence case, left aligned Leave one line space before and after this level of subheading Tables and figures: Captions in 12pt, bold, sentence case, centred Page numbers: bottom of the page, centre aligned Footnotes: avoid using footnotes If unavoidable, make endnotes at the end of the article References and citations: Harvard citation and reference style Diagrams, illustrations, graphs: jpg or gif format for web publication

Papers length: Up to 3000 words
