Capacity Building for Small and Micro Tourism Enterprises
In collaboration with the Victorian Better Business Tourism Accreditation Program, CRIC has developed an online training package for the tourism industry in the Goldfields region. The flexibly delivered business skills project was funded by an AusIndustry Small Business Culture Enterprise Program (SBCEP) grant and has been well received by regional tourism bodies.

Bbbonline (http://www.bbbonline.com.au/) was launched on July 8, 2004, by Senator Judith Troeth launched the bbbonline at Sovereign Hill in Ballarat. The program, which has contributed to setting accreditation standards for the tourism industry ran until December 2005

The BBBOnline model used for the pilot has been adopted by the Tourism Accreditation Board of Victoria and is now being considered for national rollout across Australia. The model is a practical and replicable capacity building model for micro tourism operators anywhere.
