Dr Pamela McRae-Williams

 
Position: Research Associate

Qualifications: B.Ed.Env.Sci., M.Env St., PhD

Personal Profile:

I successfully completed my PhD titled ‘Wine and regional Tourism: Cluster Complementarity and Regional Development’ in 2005 and am employed as a Lecture in Business at the University of Ballarat. I am also involved in specific project work with CRIC in water demand management, regional clusters and sustainability and community consultation in the mining sector.

Currently, I am also Deputy Undergraduate Courses Coordinator for the School and in Feb 2006, will become Undergraduate Courses Coordinator.

Research Profile:

Current areas of research include my PhD study on regional clusters in the wine and tourism industries, the significance of sector type and place in understanding the success or otherwise of regional clusters and regional economic, social and environmental sustainability of a range of sectors, including mining, tourism, wine and water.
